Give You Intelligence
My home inspection gives you a clear understanding of your house, the good and the things that could be a problem. You will know what works and what doesn’t; what’s in good shape and how to keep it so; and what’s about to fail or cause ongoing headaches.
You get this knowledge in two ways. First, I explain, a lot! I always use clear, friendly, easy to understand language. I also encourage you to ask questions. That way, anything that you are not certain about, can be thoroughly explained on the spot.
The second way the inspection knowledge is imparted to you is through the inspection report that I prepare specially for you. Your report is unique. It’s custom written for the specific home that you have selected for the inspection. What that means is that everything in your report is valuable information you can use.
I also use clear, user friendly language in the report. Each building system has its own special part in the report. So you will have a Structure section, as well as a Plumbing section, and an Electrical section, and so on. To help you get a focus on the report, I bring all the key points to the front and summarize them in the Executive Highlights section.
My report also includes a costing guide for the house. The costing guide gives you the financial tools you need to make informed decisions about the house; decisions like whether buying the house makes sense to you, or what your repair priorities should be.
• If you’re buying:
whether the issues and their technical and financial implications are something you can handle.
• If you’re selling:
what are the potential concerns a buyer can raise and what are the best approaches you can follow to deal with these hurdles.
• If you’re looking at your own home:
how best to manage your most valuable asset in an efficient and cost effective manner.
And as an added bonus, my report includes a maintenance guide for the house. The maintenance guide helps you take care of the home over the long run.
